The girls hid items, mostly cosmetics, in backpacks in the 7:30 p.m. incident, police said. But a store loss prevention officer was watching them because they had previously attempted to shoplift in the store, police said. Each girl was charged with fifth-degree larceny and was scheduled to appear in juvenile court on Sept. 26, police said.
