Thieves Swipe $50K In Tools From Shuttered Saddle Brook Hotel, Cops Say
UPDATE: Three people, including two brothers, have been charged in the thefts from the shuttered Garden Plaza Hotel, police said.
Thieves made off with an estimated $50,000 worth of tools and equipment after breaking into the vacant former hotel, police said.
Saddle Brook police responded to the Garden Plaza Hotel at 129 Pehle Ave., whcih closed in 2019, on the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 4, after receiving a report of a theft in progress, according to Police Chief John A. Zotollo Jr.

Missing Dad Found Dead In NJ Park (Update)
The multi-day search for a missing 49-year-old New Jersey father and educator ended in tragedy, officials confirmed Wednesday, Aug. 5.
Cavan Londergan, of Parsippany, was reported missing to Parsippany-Troy Hills police on Saturday, Aug. 2, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. Officers located Londergan's body in Summerhill Park in Madison on the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 4, authorities said.
Londergan had last been seen in Madison on Monday, Aug. 3 and an investigation determined he was in the park, authorities said.
