$6M Luxury Clubhouse At Bergen County Golf Course Closer To Reality
Construction has officially begun on a brand-new, $6 million clubhouse at Bergen County’s Overpeck Golf Course, officials said. County Executive Jim Tedesco and the Bergen County Board of Commissioners broke ground on the project Thursday, May 1, at the course’s location on East Cedar Lane in Teaneck. The $5.97 million investment includes a 2,774-square-foot clubhouse with a pro shop, food service, public restrooms, and a Trex-style outdoor deck, according to the county. Route 46 Clifton Crash Brings Traffic Down To One Lane
A crash on Route 46 in Clifton shut down two of three westbound lanes Monday morning, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. The incident happened west of the Garden State Parkway, NJDOT reported at 10:27 a.m. on Monday, May 5. Two left lanes were closed, and traffic was backing up in the area. Thirty-nine people were hurt in a crash involving two buses and three cars on the New Jersey Turnpike, state police said. Troopers responded at 12:55 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, to the northbound outer roadway at milepost 56.4 in Chesterfield Township, Burlington County. A preliminary investigation shows that two Van Hool buses were driving north when one rear-ended the other, police said.
