Drone Seen Flying Over School In Capital Region Perfectly Legal, Police Say (Poll) A drone that was seen flying over several schools in the region sparked concerns among parents and prompted a police investigation. The unusual sight was spotted in Albany County on Thursday, Oct. 12, in the town of Bethlehem. A 34-year-old man from the region is facing felony drug charges after police allegedly uncovered illegal amounts of narcotics inside his home. Long Island Robber Who Shot Man In Face, Leaving Victim In Coma, Gets 15 Years Behind Bars A Long Island man will spend over a decade in prison for a violent armed robbery that left the victim in a coma. Wilfredo Figueroa, age 29, of Ridge, was sentenced to 15 years behind bars in Suffolk County Court on Tuesday, Oct. 10, after pleading guilty to robbery and related charges. According to prosecutors, Figueroa shot a 27-year-old man in the face while robbing him in Middle Island during the early morning hours of June 22, 2022. He then fled the scene and returned home. Weeks Of Full Closures Planned For Portion Of Northern State Parkway Scheduled roadwork could spell delays for Long Island drivers in the coming weeks. The westbound lanes of the Northern State Parkway are scheduled to close overnight between Exit 42 and Exit 40 in Huntington for three weeks.
