Serial Kidnapper, Convicted Rapist Gets Prison For Disturbing Haverstraw Screwdriver Attack
A repeat violent offender who previously served 19 years in prison for raping and kidnapping women has been sentenced to more hard time for attacking another woman in Rockland County, prosecutors announced.
Eduardo Hernandez, 49, of Garnerville, was sentenced to 14 years in state prison for second-degree kidnapping in Rockland County Court before Judge Kevin Russo, Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh announced on Wednesday, June 3.
The sentence stems from an attack in the Village of Haverstraw on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, at around 5:25 p.m.
