Paint Poured On Pro-Israel Banner At Jewish Center In Searingtown Police are searching for the person or persons responsible for pouring paint on banner expressing support for Israel at a Jewish center on Long Island. Nassau County Police say the incident happened on Friday, Aug, 30 at 9 p.m. in Searingtown. Officers responded to the Shelter Rock Jewish Center, located at 272 Shelter Rock Road for a report of criminal mischief.  It was determined that an unknown person or persons had thrown red paint over a banner which stated “We stand with Israel, bring them home now," before fleeing the scene. Thomas W. Donlen is responsible for slashing all four times on a school vehicle at the South Bergen Jointure School on Maywood Avenue in September 2023, Maywood Police Detective Sgt. Water Balloons Thrown From Bridge Damage Cars On Rt 222: Ephrata Police Cars were damaged after items thought to be water balloons were thrown from an overpass, Ephrata police announced on Friday, Aug. 2.  Two vehicles were heading north on Route 222 when they were struck by the falling items at the East Mohler Church Road overpass, around midnight on Aug, 1. "One vehicle sustained a large dent to the hood, and the other sustained a cracked windshield," the police stated in the release.  Anyone with additional information about this incident is asked to contact Officer Martin with the Ephrata Police Department.

Vernon Mayor Anthony Rossi posted a video on Facebook of the vandalism at Great Gorge Golf Course, which is located next to the site of a former resort, that previously had a Playboy Club in the 70s and 80s.
