Peeping Tom Peering Into Secaucus Apartment Popped By Police An Essex County man was arrested in Secaucus after police said he was seen peering into an apartment window on the evening of Sunday, April 30. Jason Rosario, a 30-year-old Belleville resident, was spotted on scene by officers and began to run, police said.  He got into a car and police initiated a traffic stop, where he was later arrested and charged with attempted burglary and criminal trespass, officers said.  He was transferred to Hudson County Jail, police said. The investigation is ongoing, police said.

Newark Man Convicted Of Severely Beating Girlfriend A Newark man faces up to five years in state prison after he was convicted of beating his girlfriend in 2019, sending her to the hospital, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens announced. Ahmir Worthy was found guilty on Thursday, April 27, of third degree aggravated assault following a three-day trial, after prosecutors say he punched, kicked and slammed his girlfriend against the wall while at a party. She was diagnosed with a concussion, and suffered contusions and deep bruising, Stephens said. Worthy will be sentenced on June 26, Stephens said.
