An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Community Supports Livingston Mom Bravely Battling Cancer Melissa Miller is fighting for her life. And the Livingston community is joining her side. A GoFundMe has been created for Miller, who is battling stage four uterine sarcoma and has been given a 10 percent chance of survival. Turning Point, which serves breakfast, lunch and brunch, recently opened its 24th location in Paramus at 65 Route 4 West. Student Slashed Outside Jersey City High School A student was slashed outside Ferris High School in Jersey City on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 26, Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione, a spokesman for the mayor's office said. The student was slashed in the left hand and was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Wallace-Scalcione said. Police are continuing to investigate.

North Jersey Chiropractor Sexually Assaults Patient: Prosecutor A Fanwood chiropractor is facing prison time for sexually assaulting a patient, authorities said. Grant Babbitt, 70, is charged with fourth degree criminal sexual contact on a 30-year-old female patient that occurred in his office on Martine Avenue, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel announced Thursday, April 27, Daniel said. Duo Stole $300K From Union City Business: Prosecutor Two North Bergen residents were arrested and charged with stealing more than $300,000 from a Union City business, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced. Angelica Morales Fuentes, 30, accessed the payroll system of a staffing company and created multiple fictitious employee accounts, diverting the wages into a joint account she shared with Hector Ortiz, 39. Mexican Joint Replacing Chinese Restaurant On Route 46 A new Mexican restaurant is set to bring the flavor to Ridgefield. Cantina 46 is set to open 88 Route 46 West, replacing 88 Rice Shop. Jailed Serial Sex Assault Suspect Slapped With More Charges In Hudson Hotel: Authorities A 25-year-old Montclair man being held in the Bergen County jail on sexual assault allegations was arrested and charged with another incident that occurred at a Secaucus hotel last year, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
