An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Threat Briefly Locks Down Bayonne High School A Hudson County high school had resumed normal operations as of 11:30 a.m., after a threat placed it briefly in lockdown. Bayonne High School received a "non-credible safety threat" on Monday, April 3, and went into lockdown "out of an abundance of caution," the Bayonne School District wrote on its Facebook page.  Bayonne Police Department was assisting Bayonne Security with the investigation, the district said.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched for John Montuori, 31, who was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2, a degenerative neuromuscular disorder. The progressive disease causes Montuori, who lives in Hillsdale, to use a wheelchair and his family provides 24-hour care for him. Tracking Device Foils Hoboken Bank Robber A 24-year old man was arrested and charged with robbing a bank in Hoboken, after police were able to use a tracking device attached to his loot.  Hoboken police allege Jamil Deacon, a Hoboken resident, passed a note to bank tellers at the Santander Bank demanding $40,000 be handed to him and verbally threatened to shoot them if they did not comply.
